What is your topic for portfolio?

When Dr Yeon asked us to submit a portfolia by the end of May, I felt very burdened. At first I though it could be a very helpful teaching material. But as time goes by, to search for some materials is not easy and sometimes put away because of the tasks or homework from the core courses. Anyway I tried to find an easy way to do the portfoli0. I did it. My potfolio topic is food.
But this one is mainly focused on the food in Asian which reflects the current situation of increasing multicultural families in Korea.

How do you describe yourself?

I took a MBTI personality test in March to understand my personality type in March.
The result showed that I was in the group of ISTJ, the most common type in Korean people.
People have two faces. But they feel more natural to one side. I couldn't understand why I had felt so tired after I enjoyed gathering with people. I like social gathering during the daytime. But I feel like taking some rest alone in the evening and at nigt. Before the test, I tried to avoid my being alone because I was worried that others might misunserstand me. Now I come to understand I need the time to be alone to recharge my energy. I spend all of my energy when I hang out with people. I definitely have to have my time to get my energy again. Some extroverted people are contrary to me. They get a lot energy when they are with people. That' s why they are so active and energetic with people and seem never tired after a long social gathering.
Do you think you know yourself well enough?

A Present on Children's Day.

I took my kids to Jeonju zoo yesterday. There were so many families with kids. People there looked very happy having fun with their family. There are many places for children to play at these days. Looking back on my children days, my playground was mostly at school or around my house. Still I had fun with my friends. But on Children's Day I was a little bit sad. I didn't get any presents from my parents on the day. I envied the friends who got some presents from their family. My daughter is at the age of begining to know what a gift or present is. I want to give her a present which she would cherish in her life on the Children's Day.
What would you recommend?

The food on the cafeteria here.

Every Monday morning when I leave my kids behind, I am very sad and I hate to come here. But ironically, I begin to feel happy as soon as I arrive here. Especially this morning I couldn't feel happier when I heard birds singing merrily around while I was walked up to the dormitory after parking my car. It means I enjoy life here fully. The cafeteria is one of the things I enjoy here. Some one said the food here was salty. But as for me, it is just fantastic and perfect!!.

Please tell me about your opinion on the food here or what your favorite food is here.

The most challenging task or homework

Whenver I finish doing the tasks or homeworks given by the instructors here, I am happy because I can feel accomplishment and get self confidence when I finish the tasks or homeworks through which I learn new things. But sometimes I felt frustrated when I met some very challenging task to finish. The most challenging one so far was Walter's second homework, editing sound.

What is the most challenging task or homework for you in this training program?

Zukumi Festival

I went to Zukkumi ( fish that looks like octopus) festival held in Seocheon in Chungcheong province over the weekend. I was very happy I could eat parboiled Zukumi a lot. My kids also liked it very much unexpectedly. I' d like to take my kids to good festivals in Korea.

What festival would you recommend me to take my kids to?

Back to my school days.

When I was a high school girl, I liked history best. History was a container of a lot of exciting stories to enjoy for me, not a bunch of things to memorize. My history teacher was an excellent story teller. I always waited for the history class. So I wanted to become a history teacher, which my father was against. I used to visit historical places aross the nation every week before my children were born. When they get older enough to take care of themselves, I'd like to take them to the many places related with history.
