Zukumi Festival

I went to Zukkumi ( fish that looks like octopus) festival held in Seocheon in Chungcheong province over the weekend. I was very happy I could eat parboiled Zukumi a lot. My kids also liked it very much unexpectedly. I' d like to take my kids to good festivals in Korea.

What festival would you recommend me to take my kids to?

Back to my school days.

When I was a high school girl, I liked history best. History was a container of a lot of exciting stories to enjoy for me, not a bunch of things to memorize. My history teacher was an excellent story teller. I always waited for the history class. So I wanted to become a history teacher, which my father was against. I used to visit historical places aross the nation every week before my children were born. When they get older enough to take care of themselves, I'd like to take them to the many places related with history.

Good to have time for myself

Another exciting week here just began. But this morning I was sad because the little sun said, "Take me with you" in sobbed voice when we had to separate. The scene may repeat itself every monday. I hate being away from them but I have no way to solve the problem. While I am here, I try to forget my kids and I'd like to enjoy the life here. The best thing of being here is to have time to read a book without any interruption if I want to do.

What is your best thing of being here any other than language things?

Technology in class

I think it helps a lot to use some technologies in language class. I have used a computer almost in every class to play the textbook CD and a digital camera sometimes to show some pictures. These techologies are helpful because the students understand the class more easily.

I am so happy to have my own space on line. One of the good things in the training programs like this is to get new skills as well as language things themselves.
